Digital imaging is taking diagnostics and record storage to new heights. The possibilities of this are astounding. As your practice approaches the decision to "go digital", Medical Imaging & Digital Consulting wants to make the transition rapid and cost effective. Our services include consulting on what computer hardware and software would be most beneficial to your practice, installing and registering your components, educating your staff on how they can effectively implement your new investment and upgrading your current technology. And we also offer complete in-house digital image altering/enhancement so you can get the most out of your digital images.

Other digital businesses offer image enhancement, but have you ever tried to explain what gastric varices are and then explain that you want the margins accentuated and diagrammed? Once they hear medical terminology, you are now paying premium prices on something you shouldn't . Our background is an amalgamation of surgical technology, veterinary technology and computer technology. We understand laboratory diagram formats. We understand medical terminology. And we don't charge extra for knowing this. Why would you consider our enhancement services? Consider the following:

Our eyes can only differentiate 32 levels of contrast. Obvious features of an image are visually defined by large contrast variations -- we all see them. But fine contrast variations are only partially recognized as textures our eyes can't resolve.

The image above is actually 128 bands of contrast that vary evenly from black to white. However the human eye can only distinguish a limited number of contrast differences. The number of bands you see is the number of levels of contrast your eyes can perceive. The average person can see 32. Snapshots typically have over 200 levels of contrast. Scientific and medical images can have tens of thousands of levels of contrast. So images are showing us much more information than we can see.

This image was taken intra-operatively.

After some digital contrasting adjustments, the image reveals so much more.

The canvas is digital and the media is the mind.
